Lee Iron and Metal in Sanford, NC, along with our satellite locations, is ideally situated to provide container service for industrial customers and demolition contractors as well as the general public. Our service area includes all of central North Carolina and northeast South Carolina.

For our Industrial and Demolition Contractors, we offer on-site consultation to help you sort and contain your scrap recyclables, so that you consistently get the highest return for your scrap products.

Lee Iron and Metal has the equipment to process all types of scrap metal and many post consumer recyclables in a safe, environmentally friendly manner. For example, we have a 10,000 square foot building devoted to storing machine shop turnings and other oily scrap. With the oil collection and storage system, LIMCO can guarantee that a customers machine shop turnings never come into contact with the environment. Lee Iron and Metal is committed to providing our customers with prompt, professional service in a safe, eco-friendly manner.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS FOR AUTOMOBILES AND APPLIANCES

Appliances: accepted only if the CFC’s, and compressors have been properly removed. Microwave ovens without the door are acceptable.

At our Sanford and Raleigh facilities, automobiles are accepted only if the freon charge has been properly removed from the air conditioning system. The battery, gas tank, and all fluids (including transmission and motor oil and antifreeze) also must be removed before entering Lee Iron & Metal Co., Inc. At our Lillington facility, we will accept your automobile "as is".

In all cases, we must have the title if the vehicle is less than ten (10) years old.
